Teatro Colón, where we will take a one-hour guided tour. The theatre is considered one of the five best concert venues in the world acoustically. As you tour the Hall, the Main Foyer, the Bust Gallery and the Golden Hall, visitors can absorb amazing details about the architecture, the staircases, the sculptures, the ceilings and the stained glass windows. Reception at the port and transfer to the Port Market for lunch. In the afternoon, we will begin our tour of the city (at 3 p.m., participants should be at the door of the Carnival Museum, where we will visit: Old City, including Plaza Matriz, the Colonial Montevideo Drinking Fountain, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Cabildo, Club Uruguay, the Solís Theatre, Plaza Independencia, the monument to our national hero General José G. Artigas, the Puerta de la Ciudadela, the Executive Tower, and the Palacio Salvo building. Avenida 18 de Julio, the main commercial artery in the downtown area, Plaza Fabini. Legislative Palace, Avenida de Las Leyes. Prado residential area, Government House, Obelisk to the Constituents of 1830, Batlle y Ordóñez Park, Athletics Track, Monument to La Carreta, Centenario Stadium. Carrasco residential neighbourhood. Rambla Naciones Unidas, Plaza Virgilio, Punta Gorda, Malvin and Buceo neighbourhoods with their yacht harbour, Yacht Club, Pocitos, Punta Carretas, Golf Club. We will end the tour at the port to check in and board the ship bound for Buenos Aires. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.
